In an announcement this morning, The Bank of Canada has lowered its key interest rate to 4.75 per cent, marking the bank’s first rate cut since March 2020.
This is a reduction of 25 basis points (down by 0.25%). This holds out the hope of the beginning of a downward trend.

This should make homeownership more affordable. Lower rates mean lower monthly mortgage payments, allowing a buyer to maximize their investment in a new home. It can also be beneficial to sellers, as it could bring more buyers to the table.

This month we have seen a great horned owl hanging out in the tree in front of our house several times. It is a bit hard to see in the photo, but these birds are very large and so, so magestic!

Oak Bay Lawn Bowing Club’s 70th Anniversary Launch Event!

On Saturday, Rosemarie attended the Oak Bay Lawn Bowling Club's summer launch and 70th anniversary event!

It was a wonderful time, with guest appearance from Laurel Collins, Victoria MP, and Hazel Braithwaite, Oak Bay councilor, delicious cake, lovely mingling, and, of course, lawn bowling.

Rosemarie has been bowling with this club for a few years now and loves spending time with great folks and honing her skills.
